I love the southwestern US. There is no place on earth I would rather live. However I love the spring in the eastern forests. I know it is getting on to summer but I hope you enjoy these photos from this spring and springs past.

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well. We have been doing very well. Ben is growing like a little weed! :) It's a gorgeous day here today. Not as humid as it has been the past couple of days. I just finished a small sewing project (hemming living room curtains) that I have been meaning to get done for a while. Just like I've been meaning to write on here for a while! :) teehee! It's a great feeling when you accomplish something that's been sitting around for a while, isn't it?! Yeah, I need to tell myself that more often. ;) Well, maybe I will get around to posting some photos of Ben sometime soon. Love you all!

School's Out For Summer

Hi Everybody,

I haven't been on this blog since March and I see that I missed a lot of great stuff. Now that school is out for awhile I hope to check back more often. It was a rough year, but I made it. I have no idea which school I will be in next year. I plan to enjoy my time off. Hope you are all well!

Toads are cool!

I took this video while fishing last weekend. I believe this is a fowlers toad. I have heard many toads and frogs calling but I have never caught one in the act.

Hi, Family!

Thanks for your posts, Matt!  It's great to see pictures of Juliet!  She is getting very big.  It is finally camping season in Alaska!  We have already taken one trip to Denali National Park, and I hope to go again on the weekend of July 4th.  It's been kind of gloomy and rainy lately, and not very warm.  I am wishing for some more summery weather, but I guess it's still better than darkness and snow.

We celebrated Nathan's 3rd birthday, and now it is already time to start planning Ayla's 1st birthday!  It's hard to believe.  She is turning into a real firecracker!  Nathan was always pretty laid back and easy, but I think Ayla is going to be the kind of kid to stick a fork in a wall socket.  I'm bracing myself for lots of mischief from her...especially now that she is really starting to get around.

Here are some pictures of our most recent adventures

For those of you who use Facebook, there are some more on my profile.  It's a little easier to post them on there than here.  I'm happy to say my little ones are turning into real adventurers!  They both seem to enjoy camping, and needless to say this pleases me very much!  I'm looking forward to many years of outdoor adventures with my family :)

To add a little good news, Mike was originally scheduled to deploy in November to Afghanistan, but as of right now his company has been dropped and is no longer scheduled to deploy!

We went to a local lake this weekend I went fishing for the first time since Juliet has been Born! The water was high and the fish were not around but it was a beautiful day. Emily, these pictures make me think of your post about time moving fast!

Unfortunately the only fish seen that day were in the Chinese Restaurant we stopped at on the way home.
